PAIPORDEE TRAVEL NOTES
Money, SIMs and connectivity
Prepare payments and connectivity before exploring
SIM and eSIM
Check device compatibility and network unlocking. Compare validity, data allowance, calls and tethering rules. Use an official seller and bring the identity documents the provider requests. Do not send passport photos to an unverified account.
Cash and exchange
Carry small cash for markets and small shops. Compare the net baht after fees and count the cash before leaving the counter. A conversion used for planning is not a guaranteed exchange rate.
Bargaining
Ask the price first. Bargain politely only where it is welcomed. Clearly priced shops, restaurants and regulated transport are not automatic bargaining situations.
